11/14/07, 0505Z / 2205MST:

Troy has successfully launched, and is slowly heading northeast. Lifting off from Greeley, Colorado at 0505Z/2205MST, Troy Bradley hopes to break the distance and duration record for AM-3 balloon. AM indicates the balloon falls in the mixed (hot air and helium [Roziere]) category, and the 3 is the volume. This is a very small balloon holding approximately 14,000 cu. ft. The goal of this flight is to better 27 hrs, 50 minutes and 573 miles.
